ERMIL Kostrov

The poet and translator Yermil Ivanovich Kostrov was born on January 6, 1755 in the village of Sinegorye, Nagorsk district, Kirov region.
In 1775, he began to receive education at the Slavic-Greek-Latin Academy, after which he entered the philosophy faculty of Moscow University.
On the initiative of the university curator I.I.Shuvalov, in 1779 Kostrov was awarded a bachelor's degree.
Since 1782 he was a provincial secretary and a full-time university poet. Collaborated with the magazine "Interlocutor of lovers of the Russian word", "Mirror of Light"
